I can't stress this enough, the powder is just one tool of many needed to combat a bed bug infestation. The powder does a good job of killing the BB's anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks, IT WILL NOT Kill on contact but use it to cover corners, bed frames, and areas where you feel Bed Bugs are present. One of the bigger downsides I actually found is that this also kills house centipedes and spiders, why is that a bad thing you ask.. Well for one these guys have actually helped me in my battle against the Bed Bugs, Spiders and Centipedes love eating these evil bastards. Another downside is that the powder is a visible eye sore, I would recommend vacuuming before you invite people over but that will actually cut down on its effectiveness unless you plan on re applying immediately. Combining the following will help with controlling these bed bugs powder Drying clothes/sheets on very high heat Using a spray bottle full of 91% Alcohol (NOT the 70% green one which does not kill on contact like the 91%) vacuuming steaming BED and BED FRAME COVERS ARE A MUST. All of this will help, but if you find yourself on the losing end of the battle call an exterminator, it will cost hundreds of dollars but its better than letting these evil monsters take over your life.
