We have two senior cocker spaniels, one with anxiety and one with very painful degenerative disks in her back. This has helped both of our cockers all the way! Our story: The cocker with degenerative disks couldn’t go up and down the stairs, and her back legs would shake with pain. The vet put her on a strong narcotic that gave her bloody diarrhea, squeaky sounds in her stomach, and loss of appetite. I then put her on CBD oil and she did terrific, but it’s very very expensive and I suddenly couldn’t get to my supplier, who is out of town. I then decided to try hemp oil instead. I was doubtful that it would work for her pain, as it’s not the same as CBD and it’s a fraction of the price. We’ve been pleasantly surprised at how effective this is. She runs up and down the stairs, she has her appetite, she sleeps through the night, she smiles (yes, dogs can smile!), and I’m saving money. It’s a win win. Our other cocker, who has anxiety around children, is much calmer when small children walk by outside. And she’s more relaxed indoors.
