Well after a long hunt for what essentially is just an old school box stove that used to be so common in the US I found this and purchased it. My issue was I just didn't have a lot of money to spend for some fancy EPA super certified super non-polluting whale saving salmon safe stove. I had a dry Cabin in the Woods in Western Oregon where there are cold and rainy Winters and I was tired of being cold and wet and wanted to solve that problem for under $200. This stove bypasses the EPA regulations because of a sticker on the back that says it is not for indoor installation and only should be used to heat a wall tent or something like that. Though the stove is easily large enough to heat a moderately well built 350 square foot cabin. In my installation I stack the stove on 6 cinder blocks (two high) so it would be easier to get wood in and ash out. I highly recommend just planning on this as the legs on the stove or only about a foot tall. I have a seven and a half foot roof on my cabin so raising the stove up was pretty much mandatory to get the 7 foot chimney high enough out of the roof. Okay on to the chimney... the chimney is a smaller 4-inch diameter job that is very heavy and very well built. It will free stand on the stove with no attachment all the way up to its maximum height no I'm not sure how safe this would be as it is essentially a long lever that could tip the stove over. My only wish is that I could purchase extra chimney sections. In my installation one more chimney section would be a huge Improvement. Maybe Sportsman's Guide will see this and put those up for sale but if not one could simply purchase a piece of 4 inch steel pipe in the length that is required instead of the chimney. Other than that the front door on the stove is high quality as is the Box though the little latch needed some bending and adjusting to function properly. Over all the stuff is awesome and I highly recommend it
