After using a CHI for many years (and there is nothing wrong with it) I decided to try this iron and I love it. It smoothes my hair and makes it shiny. There are a couple things I will share, but they would not deter me from buying it - CONS: 1 - The handle of the iron can get extra warm if it is resting on a metal surface (but it comes with a glove which I do not use, but I rest mine on a towel when I use it) 2 - It makes a slight sizzling noise which you get used to quickly 3 - The button that is used to close the iron and store it can sometimes cause you to hit it when in use 4 - Because it is metal all the way around like a curling iron you have to remember not to touch it when using it PROS: 1 - Heats up fast and you can adjust the temp 2 - Can be used like a curling iron so you can add curls as you straighten 3 - Good quality
