Just A Tip...
I rated this as 5 star because glass is far superior health-wise, to using plastic to store any liquid in. In my case I wanted gallon glass jars to store my tea and water in the fridge. I also distill my water and needed a gallon jar to store distilled water on my counter for coffee and cooking. I keep one gallon distilled and ready to use. And I don't want to use plastic because it deteriorates and those deteriorating particles go into whatever liquid it's stored it. So I looked on line to buy gallon glass jars and I found that the starting price for a glass wide mouth jar is about $14/15 for the cheapest and up... Here's The Tip... Go to somewhere like WalMart or any big super Market and go to the pickle isle. Mt Olive whole dill pickles come in a gallon glass jar with a wide mouth metal screw on top, and sells for $5.22 in my area. And after the pickles are gone, and they won't last as long as I thought they would because they're very good... you have got a real deal of a gallon glass jar with a metal rust free inside coating, wide mouth screw on lid Also there is at least one other brand of pickles that sells pickles in gallon glass jugs, but I've forgotten the brand name. And even if you throw away the content in the gallon jar, you still got a great deal on a wide mouth gallon glass jar... Just saying!!!
