I ordered a size up based on other reviews. I'm 5'6" 150 lbs, 36B. I normally wear a Medium (US) or Large (China). An XL fit perfect. Looks just like the picture. The tie at the waist is just ornamental, not a drawstring. The waist is stretchy and is higher than my natural waist but not an empire waist. The effect is slimming and flattering. The button loops are elastic and pretty easy to fasten but I don't think they'll come loose very easy. This dress is pretty modest; the v neck doesn't show much and the buttons go down below my knee. The fabric is light but not too see through, not very stretchy either. I got the darker color and I don't think a slip is necessary but a lighter color might need one. It is very flowy and feminine. This will be fine to wear to work in a business casual environment. I haven't washed or worn it yet. There's no tag with laundry instructions so I'm going to wash in cold and hang to dry. After washing and drying and then immediately hanging up, no shrinkage, no ironing needed. Bought another in a different color. Love it.
