This is the start of another great series from Deborah Wilde. It's set in an alternative version of our world, and Ashira is an interesting lead semi-kickass heroine trying to make her way. There are some interesting layers to the story; the dialogue is snappy and snarky (as you'd expect from Ms. Wilde); the characters are interesting, and the writing is excellent. So if you like your mysteries wrapped up in urban fantasy, this is for you.
