I have an 05 Escalade with a 5.3, it has 222,000 miles on it now. I drive it approximately 75 miles a day back and forth to work. Occasionally after just starting it in the morning with the oil pressure low and have only driven a few miles in stop and go traffic, at idle a loud lifter tap would start and stay tapping until i was able to get the RPM's and oil pressure up a little then it would stop every time. Its been doing this off and on for more than a year. I have tried Marvel Mystery Oil which helped somewhat, the tapping not as severe and went away quickly. PROLONG oil treatment did not seem to have much effect. I added the Tribo TEX two weeks ago now and have drivin around 900 miles. I have not heard a lifter tap since adding it, even in the mornings at low RPM and oil pressure. I am going to give it a couple of months then I will update this review again. But so far so GREAT!
