To start off, the weights are excellent quality. They're not brittle or flaky and the handles are sturdy (also they have some serious knurling, so I'd wear gloves if you're prone to tearing calluses). In fact, as far as price to value goes, these weights are an excellent deal and are great for a starter. There is a bit of an issue for more advanced lifters though that seriously dampens the utility of this set: the weight plates are short and thick. A 5lb Yes4All plate is actually thicker than a 10lb CAP plate. If you're planning on moving heavy poundages, using these weights will quickly limit how much weight you can add to the dumbbell. If you are not planning to lift big, or are purchasing this for a new lifter, than this set is an excellent deal. Otherwise, I would dry a different set.
