My husband and I have dubbed this the divorce bench because it was so ridiculously infuriating to put together. Our best advice would be to not put this together with anyone that you love and respect out of fear that you will say or do something that you cannot take back. Blinded with rage, we wanted to burn it. The screws and hardware are cheap. We stripped several screws and broke a few cheap metal connection pieces which made it even more difficult to assemble, but we powered through. Once it was together our anger subsided because it is perfect and adorable. It's a great storage bench and ideal for our entryway. It holds several blankets, our dogs' accessories and two pillows. It feels solid and sturdy despite the hardware we destroyed. We had to use a drill to finish the last few steps because there were not any predrilled holes for the screws connecting all four sides of the bench. I recommend this bench to anyone needing a good cry, desperate to end a relationship, or looking for a cute entryway bench. It would also be cute at the foot of a twin bed because you will not be sleeping with your significant other after assembling it together.
