The first thing I'd like to say is as a person who is dealing with lupus, being able to use a product easily, especially something that is substantial in weight is absolutely vital to me as I am weak most days. I really needed this because I cannot be in the sun because of my illness,I was so impressed as to the quality of and the sturdiness of this product not to mention the coating that is on the metal is just absolutely fabulous ... it is not cheaply made as I have many umbrellas and this is the nicest I have owned in a really long time and I'm very pleased about it... the crank to turn this and to adjust it to tilt it to the left or to the right is extremely easy to use and that is so important to me because like I said with lupus it is very hard for me to do anything because of the pain in my body so I was very leery about this purchase because of that fact and was so pleasantly surprised the umbrella material seems very thick very nice it is a little bit see-through in the sense that it does not completely block out all of the sun... yes it shades you completely, but it will still remain bright under the umbrella which there are days that I like that, and then there's days that I don't like that.... I love the striping on the fabric and it just is a really beautiful umbrella I am not one to do reviews that are puff pieces so to speak I really wouldn't say this if I did not believe it was a quality well-made piece....it does not come with a base so you have to be sure to have that but because I have so many umbrellas I have tons of umbrella bases and I'm just very pleased with this purchase and I would recommend it over and over and over...
