I have been looking to replace an old broom and dustpan set but it was hard to find one that had the dustpan that pivots up. I like this feature to contain the dirt while you walk to the trash can and for storage. I thought the price of this was a little high when I ordered it, but like most OXO products, this is high quality. I don't really use the extendable broom handle, maybe I'm used to the short handle now. I find that when I'm holding the dustpan in one hand and the broom in the other, the long handle is awkward. My husband does extend the handle, though, and likes it. I am loving the bristles on the dustpan the clear off anything sticking on the broom. Between my long hair and the cat hair in the house, this simple feature makes sure that it all comes off the broom and into the dustpan instead of clinging for dear life.
