This is my new favorite laundry detergent. I had been using pods from several different manufacturers, because I liked the reduced packaging, but many would not completely dissolve in my front loading machine. There would be gunky globs in the door after a load. I don't like liquids, because all of the tops eventually seem to drip in some fashion. I used Method pump dispensers for a few years, but while I loved the easy no-drip pump, the packaging seemed wasteful because the plastic was not recyclable in my area. So, when I saw Nellie's on Amazon I decided to give it a try. The metal tin is cute, easy to open and use, but also completely recyclable. There is a thin plastic bag inside that holds the detergent. The little scoop is easy to use. It is 1 Tbsp and you only need one scoop. I also appreciate that they do not test on animals. This is a Canadian product, so directions are in both English and French. There is no noticeable fragrance, and while the package does not claim to be fragrance free, there does not appear to be any added fragrance on the ingredient list. I have been using this for about a month now, and I am very happy with the results. Our toughest laundry loads are my husband's work out clothes, and everything comes out smelling fresh and clean. It even does a great job on the dogs' beds, blankets and soft toys. I have never seen any residue left in my washer after cold or hot loads. The inside tub and glass door are always squeaky clean. I still spot treat some stains, like coffee, with Oxy Clean spray. So far everything has come completely out, even on our white cotton items.
