Fan Can Assert its Dominance as Loudest Thing in the House.
So, the fan...it works pretty good. Moves a lot of air, and it's very cooling. I love it...just...one word of warning. It has three modes. Mode one is literally all you could ever want in a fan. It's lovely, moves a large amount of air, and produces a low, but noticeable hum. Mode two is where things start to get...dicey. See, mode two and you better not have any unsecured paper around, or it'll be everywhere in the veritable torrent of air that the Lasko box fan produces. Also, you will potentially startle small animals and children with the low, loud growl of the fan as it's blades whir and chop through the air. Mode three. I cannot stress enough that no human on this earth requires mode three. Mode three will blow calendars off the walls, sheets off beds, and toupees off old men. Also, to allow the fan to reach and maintain the speeds of mode three, you must be willing to allow a literal jet engine to fire up to speed inside the room you have placed your fan in. Nothing will drown out the noise this fan makes on mode three, as the sonorous clamor of a passenger plane revving up for take off fills your entire house.
TLDR: Mode one is perfect. Mode three will deafen your friends and family.
