It’s not rocket science
If you have a problem making cotton candy, it’s YOU...not the machine! I used pink vanilla flossing sugar and then moved on to trying various hard candy. (Broken candy canes, crushed lollipops.) Watch a video first of you’re not very coordinated. I found that you don’t want to put the cone stick into the bowl but rather hover just above the rim while rotating in your fingers as well as your wrist. If you touch the cotton candy to the spinner or heat source, you’ll melt or crush whatever you have on your stick. Each spoonful of sugar makes one decent size treat . I found that the actual flossing sugar makes perfect and fluffy cotton candy while the hard candies make it a little bit more dense and sticky. Also some flavors are disgusting in cotton candy form. Pink lemonade lollipops for one, don’t!
