Apple really likes to steal your money for no reason. Don't let them. MoKo has made a seriously nice clear plastic case with a built-in smart cover which protects my new iPad (Mar 2017 edition) perfectly while adding functionality to it. The outside of the case's cover is a rubbery material and the inside is a very sheer (albeit a little rough) microfiber fabric material. The plastic shell is lightweight but sturdy to the point where I feel like if I dropped my ipad from 5ft off the ground, it'd end up totally ok. The holes for the headphone jack, microphone, camera, power button, volume buttons, and lighting port might not line up perfectly, but they're fairly accurate and provide plenty of space for function without leaving too much space for damage to occur. I want to stress that Apple's cover and case are sold separately at $40 and $60 respectively, costing you $100 to cover your ipad. In fact, Apple doesn't even provide cases for the new 2017 iPad yet. Moko has provided an $8 full solution that provides (in my opinion) even better protection. Buying this cover was a no brainer, and I couldn't be happier with the product.
