My 77 year old wife has had every toe with a hard yellow fungus instead of normal toe nails for quite a few years. I've been taking her to a Podiatrist to shave off the hard crusty surfaces so her toes don't snag on her stockings. I read the reviews about this MiniMite being used to trim dog and cat nails and I thought it would work for my wife's problem. Using this tool with a sandpaper head, I was able to duplicate what the Podiatrist has been doing for several years. I've cancelled her Podiatrist appointment and will be using this excellent tool to keep her toes trimmed. Any of you folks who have a similar problem with toe fungus might want to use this tool instead of paying a Podiatrist to do it for you. To be able to see what I'm doing, I purchased and use the Streamlight 61052 LED Headlamp with Strap from Amazon and this also works fine.
