Keto Friendly Cookies! ALLULOSE DOES NOT COUNT AS NET CARB!!
I’m on Ketogenic diet and this is perfect when I have craving or too busy to eat. They taste better (less hard and chewy) than Quest bars and Costco branded protein bars. They are huge too, I can eat half at a time and save another half for later. I bought Lemon, Double Chocolates and Chocolate Chips. I like them all! It’s hard to find keto snacks with cake texture unless I make them myself. These are great for low-carb people on the go! But of course, don’t eat them excessively!
Update#2: I was planning to get my second batch of Know Cookies and I wonder why they only got 3.5 stars rating. I went ahead and read some low-star reviews and realized some people don’t know allulose DOES NOT count toward net carb (I am not sure if they know the difference between total carb and net carb). Allulose is a type of sugar that occurs in nature (from fermented corn, figs, raisins, and maple syrup) that cannot be disgested by human. It seems like some people on Keto have experienced sugar spike (high GI) after eating this, but I don’t have this issue. It’s better to test a few bites before consuming the whole cookie.
FYI: Here is how you CALCULATE NET CARB: Total carb - fiber - sugar alcohols (or natural low-carb sweetener like Stevia, pure Monk Fruit sweetener, etc)
Quick Update: I just baked a Know Chocolate Chip Cookie at 325 degree for 7 mins in my toaster oven, I let it cool for a bit and the edge became crispy and the body became chewy. You should try it if you want to have a warm chewy texture, but you might need to test out the timing since each toaster oven is different. The toaster oven I used was Breville BOV845BSS Smart Oven Pro.
