It works, it takes about 5 to 6 cups of coffee to get the coffee to water ratio correct. Of course the flavor will depend on the type of coffee you are using and you will have to adjust the ratio for every different coffee/grind brewed. It is super easy to clean. I normally brew French Press, but it is to much hassle to clean. I have a keurig but I only drink coffee out of that when I am in a hurry. There are all kinds of expensive single cup brewers but I have found that paying a lot of money does not secure a outstanding cup of coffee. The filter of this unit is excellent and I have yet to see any coffee bits or sludge at the bottom of the cup after consumption. I used to go on online looking for the holy grail of coffee makers but becoming a coffee snob costs to much money and the procedures to try to attain the perfect brew become laughable at a certain point in time. Plus after a half hour or so I don't remember if the coffee great or sub par.
