Not too impressed. It is entirely plastic, hollow, fits way too loosely in the receiver, and is probably not going to withstand much of an impact except as a sort of sacrificial warning device. It supports my 230 lbs, but it does not feel stable or inspire confidence. I'm happy that it's made in the USA, but I wish I'd bought the heavy duty Smitty. This feels well made, but beware the photo. It is definitely not some heavy duty rubber fused to metal protective device like it appeared to me. Update: After having his on my truck for several months now, I have to upgrade my rating. I've beat the heck out of this step, and it's holding up remarkably well. It may not be steel and rubber as I expected, but it's plenty tough and entirely adequate for what I bought it for. I'm surprised by its durability and good looks.
