Absolutely worth its weight in gold!
I was complaining to a friend of mine about how tired I was of my adult acne (I'm 37 but apparently my pores still think I'm 16) and she asked me if I had ever heard of these sponges. My first thought was, "How in the world could a sponge make any difference?" But after what she told me and doing some further research, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it. Heck, I've spent hundreds in facial-care products that didn't help, what was a few more dollars?
When I first tried it, I used it as part of my nightly routine. It seemed to work just fine, but it was the next day when I realized this thing just might work! My normally oily face was smooth and not the slightest bit oily!! I noticed a significant improvement in just a couple of days. Within 2 weeks I had not a single pimple on my face! Let me tell you, there aren't a lot of products I can claim have been life-changing, but this one has been nothing short of a miracle.
* I do want to warn that not all konjac sponges are created equal. I tried a less-expensive one and was sorely disappointed. It got mildewy in just a few days and my acne came back! I will definitely stick to this brand only from now on.
**Another update that I feel the need to share! A few months ago my eyes started getting really scratchy and itchy. I had no idea what was causing it. I went to the eye doctor 3 times, tried allergy medications and 3 types of eyedrops. Nothing was helping. I then realized I had been using my konjac sponge for a few months and decided to stop using it to see if it was the culprit. Sure enough, within 2 days my eyes were back to normal! So just be really careful not to use your sponge too long -- I think it was starting to break down and I was getting particles of the sponge in my eyes. Now I take care not to use it on my eyes at all, and I replace it every couple of months.
