I had another weighted blanket so I could decide if I liked weighted blankets or not. I found that I did, but the original one did not have pockets keeping the beads in place so the weight did not stay distributed. This blanket is heavier than my original one but is suggested for my weight and I love it. My husband sleeps under multiple blankets while I only need the one weighted blanket. I sleep very will with it. The only problem I have is that I have a yellow Labrador retriever who sleeps with us and I got a navy blanket. The blanket itself can be washed but must be washed in a commercial washer due to the weight. Be sure to get a cover for the blanket so you don't have to wash it!
