Works fine, exactly as described, but it could easily be better. First, one needs the code for the individual unit to know which button to press. This is marked in tiney numbers on an obscure label. I solved this by marking each unit with a black marker in large numerals. Secondly, using it in a normal duplex receptacle block to lower one even though the unit only uses the upper one. For example, if I want to use it to switch a lamp, but leave another appliance plugged in for continuous power, I cannot do it. This is more difficult for me to solve, but I did. Using a hacksaw, I sliced off the lower part of the round case tangentially at the circular piece of plastic that is the bezel for the plug. This is not pretty, but is damages nothing functional in the unit. With a little less attention to styling, and more to functionality, the manufacturer could have easily solved this problem. Again, it works as described.
