Just a few notes to address our concerns about the lower star reviews.
Well, I feel that it is necessary to address some of the concerns raised in the 3 star and lower reviews, because those are the ones that my roommate and I read prior to purchasing this vacuum.
1. The individual that complained that after he completed took the vacuum apart, he had a problem putting it back together. Well sir, after my roommate and I sat down and seriously pondered every single scenario in which we would conceivably want to completely disassemble said vacuum, and determined that the only situation we could come up with was an apocalypse in which we would want the spare parts more than we would want a clean floor. In that scenario though, we decided we also probably wouldn’t need to reassemble said vacuum anyway. As a result, we decided this wasn’t a problem.
2. To the people that complained that there was too much suction on the vacuum. Ummmm… Isn’t that what a vacuum is supposed to do? And like, isn’t it sort of a thing, where, the more it sucks, the better it is? Isn’t that kind of the whole point of a vacuum? Again, the roommate and I carefully considered this complaint for about 30 seconds before laughing hysterically and deciding we were cool with this “problem.”
3. There were complaints about maneuverability issues. This seemed like a legitimate problem, as neither myself, nor my roommate, have ever used a vacuum with the ball type set up for the extra maneuverability, so we agreed that a muscle memory based task might require some additional learning curve in order to deal with it. However, knowing that it would be a problem, we figured we could deal with it, and now that the vacuum has arrived, I must say that, yes, it absolutely takes some extra learning. It took me about… 15 square feet of vacuuming my living room to figure out. The roommate was about the same. So… yeah, there’s that.
4. There were more than a few complaints about weight, which was a slight concern, while my roommate is a fairly burly man, I am female, and I was a bit worried about the weight problems. We then dug further into the weight issue and discovered that the full shipping weight of the vacuum is 17 pounds. Seven. Teen. Pounds. I walked over to our bottled water stash, hefted a case that weighs twenty pounds, tossed it in the air a few times, then gently set it back down and looked at my roommate in a very confused fashion. So, we do have a solution for those individuals that are having problems with this vacuum due to how much it weighs. Perhaps you should visit a gym. Lift some five pound weights, get those gains bro, because... wow.
All in all, we are super satisfied with the vacuum. We have a husky, which means we have a ton of pet fur in the house, and while neither of us are filth pigs, and our carpets get vacuumed at least 3x a week, one pass with this vacuum meant we actually had to empty the canister 6 times for a 750 square foot apartment that isn’t even fully carpeted. You should absolutely buy this vacuum if you are worried about pet hair.
