This, before it broke, was great! Very sturdy, strong... however, at the three month mark the upper part suddenly become limp and wobbly, just above the part that looks to me to be a connector of a thicker diameter shaft to the thinner diameter shaft. It almost seems that one could push the thinner shaft back into the coupler but I tried and nothing seems to help. Basically it’s useless now. Edited: I just now decided to throw it away and so I opened up the plastic to reveal that the metal rod was broke (see pic). This device saw no abuse. I just used it in a way that one would expect to be able to use it. Edit: the company read my lowered rating, reached out to me and said they would send me a new one! This new one doesn’t have the transition piece and so I suspect it will not break in the future. This is back to being a great product! I’m thinking Christmas gifts now for extended fam and friends! I bumped this phone holder back up to 5 stars! Update: 6 months later (5/12/2020) and this thing is still great! I bought 4 more at Christmas and kept two, one for my office and one for the kitchen.
