Great Fitbit Alta alternative, great for kids too
I purchased these for my 13 yo sister and my 7 yo son. I have the Fitbit HR Charge 2 an they both really wanted a Fitbit since we all like to be active and they look up to me. I use mine religiously so I didn't mind spending the extra money for the brand name, but I didn't want to spend $100+ for the kids because they are liable to lose, break, or sit it down and never use it again. This band seems like the best alternative. It looks just like the FitBit Alta almost. The steps and sleep seem accurate. The silent alarm works and my sister said it's such a more peaceful wake up than when using a noisy alarm. To charge it, you simply take the ban off of the end where the white touch button is and plug it into any USB outlet and a red light comes on. The colors of the bands are also nice, blush and teal. I was worried about the screen looking "pixely" and cheap, but it is very legible and clean. The picture of the timer provided in the pictures I uploaded is the "active" screen which is used when exercising and can be activated by holding down the touch button for 3 seconds and active mode can be deactivated with the same action. The small silver tool provided, I'm sure, is used to stick on the back of your phone to use as a stand when watching videos. The only cons are that the time reset once in the two days my sister had hers but it fixed once she refreshed the app, hopefully this won't continue to occur. And the rest really fall with the App. It seems that it doesn't have anywhere to log water, food, exercise, or weight. I think all of these would be nice features, and so would the option to verify that you took your vitamins or medicine for the day.
