I have fine hair which, everywhere but Los Angeles, is extremely low maintenance -- never used any hair products, filters, or anything before moving here and never had a problem until LA. This is the second shower filter I've tried, the first being a Culligan WSH-C125 Wall-Mounted Filtered Shower Head with Massage, Chrome Finish. The Culligan was able to reduce the gunky, unclean feeling my hair would have after showers, but I found my hair got very brittle and decided to try a different filter that filtered out heavy metals as well as chlorine. Installation is incredibly easy. It will move your shower head down lower which is a pain depending on your current set up, but worth the filtered water. The first couple of months it worked great -- my hair felt soft, skin stopped being dried out, soap foamed up. Unfortunately after a couple of months my hair started feeling gunky. I emailed Aquabliss and they promptly sent me a new filter. The new filter has helped reduced that unclean feeling but my hair is starting to feel dry again. I contacted Aquabliss again and their rep promptly emailed me back (on a Saturday, no less!) to let me know she had looked into the water in my area and discovered they're using chloramine to treat it. The Aquabliss filter does not filter out chloramine so she recommended I try a filter that does. I'm not sure why their first filter worked, it's always possible the water in the area or the really old pipes in my building have somehow altered quality over time. Unfortunately I'll be trying a third filter now on Aquabliss' recommendation. That being said, if your water isn't as bad as mine I definitely recommend Aquabliss! I've never experienced such thorough and prompt customer service and I really appreciate their help. Above and beyond! I will also note that though they sent Amazon follow up emails after I ordered the product and I had a back and forth with a few of their reps via email, they never at any time asked that I leave a review on Amazon, which I also really appreciated!
