Multiuse kitchen tool
I got a wonderbag earlier this year while I was overseas. I work all day and frequently come home too tired at night to cook for myself. The bag alleviates some of the strain for me because I can prepare stuff in the morning and it will be hot and ready when I come home. I have a few tips to using the wonderbag- use less water in the bag if you want a casserole type dish. There is no evaporation inside the bag. You must use a tight fitting lid to keep the heat inside the pot- don't open it until you are ready to eat the food, otherwise there is risk for bacteria growth, and heat loss. I have found the bag to be best used for stews, beans, rice/casseroles, and also yogurt, but I have tried steam baking items inside as well. I know it is used by others to help breads rise and tenderize meat through slow-cooking. In addition, the bag has other uses to me -thaw frozen goods slowly. The insulation works both ways, and it makes a great picnic basket! A few comments regarding the materials: I have seen the bag tear if the draw string is not used gently- you need to draw it tight, but don't rip the bag in the process. Make sure you use a good fitting pot for the bag and you won't have this problem. After opening, the bag does not condense down, so it does take up space, I use is as a pillow :) bright cheerful and comfy! It's cheap, easy to use and easy to make new recipes up for. The food is delicious when slow cooked. Great product!
