I was a bit hesitant to make this purchase given some of the reviews that mentioned sharp edges, but I took a chance, and I am glad I did. For the record: 1) there were no sharp edges on my French press; 2) the dual-installed mesh filters ensure that no grounds escape into my coffee at all, which is what I wanted; 3) the additional two mesh filters are an excellent accessory, which will ensure that I will be able to use this French press for life; 4) the lifetime warranty is phenomenal, as is the customer interaction I've had to date, which has been limited to welcoming messages upon ordering; 5) the capacity of this French press is phenomenal! I drink about 20 oz daily (at least), and being able to enjoy my Cafe du Monde prepared in the way in which it was intended makes me deliriously happy...like, I'm transported to NOLA with every sip. I don't use a dishwasher, so I cannot speak to how well this holds up in that method of cleaning, but handwashing is a breeze. With all of this, I'm not sure why I hesitated, but now that I have the Cafe du Chateau French press, I'm excited for each day's delicious cup!
