Pat Muth It took a lot of guts and prayer for Dolly Kyle to write this book. In so doing, she lifted the veil of fiction to present an historical account of her relationship with the forty-second president, William Jefferson Clinton, who she refers to as “Billy”. Hillary Clinton, who Billy referred to as “the Warden”, hopes to become the forty-fifth President of the United States in 2016. Many books have filled the shelves about the Clintons over the years, but none of them have come close to tracing the “why” and the “how’ a couple, seemingly not cut out of the same cloth, became a political dynasty. Her entanglement with the Clinton’s began on a golf course where she met Billy when she was eleven years old and he was thirteen. Dolly was his girl friend before Hillary ever arrived on the scene. Her entanglement continued throughout decades, including the time when she was interviewed to become the ”chief witness at the anticipated Senate trial”, during the Clinton impeachment hearings—that never took place. It would take the author years to piece together what she has presented here, and yet another decade to come to grips with reporting what happened. This historical record of the Clinton’s, is a must read for every millennial voting today. And for those of us who lived through the Clinton years, the words of George Santayana, a philosopher, essayist and poet, come to mind: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
