Bottom Line It WORKS!!! But there are some issues...+TIPS
UPDATE 2 (3/21/16): So I've thrown a lot of suggestions out there as far as tweaks and work arounds in my post and in the comments section, but I just wanted to say again that I'm not a vet/vet tech or even a dog groomer lol, and i'm not associated with this company in any way so I can't speak to whether they'd endorse my suggestions. I'm just a pet owner who bought a lot of crap that didn't work and am really passionate about making the pets that've taken care of us their whole lives, comfortable and happy in their later years and helping their owners to not waste money like I did!
UPDATE: Okay, so all of my previous comments still stand but I've been wanting to post an update with some lessons I learned along the way.
Vaseline: the glue included in the kit is a high quality surgical glue but it is quite thin. The problem with that is that if you have to use the laying down method, which I'm guessing most will use because if our dogs could balance on 3 legs while the last was being played around with, we wouldn't be interested in this product. So when your dog is on its side and you apply the glue, it naturally migrates down the paw pad into the skin between their toes. Once the glue crystalizes between their toes and they start walking around, it rubs on their skin and can cause open sores (my little girl included). I tried to be very conscientious when applying the glue and I thought I'd removed any excess, but keep in mind this stuff is pretty much invisible so here is where the vaseline comes in handy! You don't need much, just a thin layer between their toes and around the paw pad and VIOLA! no more paw sores and the glue goes only where you want it to! That being said, even though I'm making suggestions on how to make this better, as far as I'm concerned (small tweaks aside) this product fills a real need for us pet owners and I hope they continue making it.

FINALLY!!! I've tried socks, non-slip spray, shoes, socks and shoes, and nothing worked for my 10 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Twinkie). The socks came off and rotated around her feet, as did the shoes no matter how snug they fit or how well she was strapped into them. She was losing her mobility as well as her ability to get up and down her dog stairs into bed. Her back leg muscles especially were getting rather weak, but this has been an amazing product for us, and thats only after two days!!! I wanted to put a review up as soon as I got a good feel for Pawfriction simply because it is rather new, and if anything changes I promise that I will update accordingly. So does it work? Yes! That being said, it is not perfect, I am still wading through the "friction granules" that seemed to go everywhere during application no matter how conscientious I was (we used the laying down method they outline in the included manual). So I'm still working on my technique so, again, i'll update if I come up with any tips as far as application. It does seem to me that the areas that had gotten a thicker coating fall off faster so, less is more. And she's had her first bath since I applied it and the water doesn't effect the paw friction so much as the softening of the paw pads from the water, so if you just make an effort to not do a lot of activity right after their bath and let their paws dry completely first, it doesn't seem like bathing will have much of an impact, which is good because I know for many dogs a decrease in mobility goes hand in hand with a decrease in self-grooming habits and so they tend to need more baths to compensate as Twinkie definitely does!
PROS: IT FRIGGEN WORKS THANK GOD!, Dramatic Increase In Mobility and Stability
CONS: Honestly this stuff is expensive, especially considering the number of applications (3-4), that's a tough pill to swallow, so hopefully we will be able to continue using this product since its helped my little girl so much but we'll see..., also the friction granules can be messy and fly around during application
TIPS: Less is more, the thinner the coating the longer it seems to stay on their paws. Also, keeping your pet relaxed and off their feet until they dry and harden up after a bath goes a long way toward keeping the coating on their feet and unaffected by bath time.
