Better than I thought, but not perfect
My 10 year old, self propelled Windtunnel is barely holding on so I have been on the lookout for a new vacuum. I bought and quickly returned a Dyson but still needed to find something. Someone recommended the Shark and I was hesitant at first, I associate it with infomercials / gimmicks. But after reading a lot of positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. I bought mine on sale from Kohls model NV356K, so I could return easier if needed. Pros Suction is GREAT. As good as the Dyson Animal I tried! When it arrived, I vacuumed my family room with my old windtunnel, then vacuumed again with the Shark. I wanted to see how much if any dirt my old vacuum was missing. I was SHOCKED! Seriously I could not believe how much dog hair and dirt was in the canister. Gross but impressive at the same time. Cord length is good. I don't need to unplug to do another room (like I did with the Dyson) Easy to maneuver around furniture - similar to how the "ball" works You can adjust the suction for lighter rugs, drapes etc. Canister size seemed like a decent size. My old vacuum used bags so it will take some getting used to dumping to canister without making a plume of dust. I imagine that will happen with any bagless. It empties from the bottom, so that is a plus. Canister unlatches to use on stairs. More helpful than I realized. Came with an assortment of accessories (model NV356K) Cons. Lacks on-board tool storage. Only 2 tools are stored on the vacuum, but one falls off. Hose is short and there is no extension wand on board, On the plus side, it's not as awkward as the Dysons. ***Edited - there IS an extension wand on board, I don't know how I missed it, but it's there Overall, it's definitely worth the money :)
