AWESOME! All in one, just about.....no more mopping for me!
I've tried many floor cleaners. We have pets and kids, see. That means the floor gets very dirty from heavy usage, things spilled,. dragged in, dropped, etc....it's crazy! I've spent almost $100 on steam mops (they suck, IMO....hate them) and used Swiffer pads, both dry and wet (pretty good, but only does surface cleaning) Oh, and I absolutely hate to sweep. My vacuum cleaner has a floor setting, of course, but still didn't get everything up that kids and animals get on the floor, and it certainly did not offer any kind of deep cleaning. Seemed the only way to truly get my floors clean was to scrub on hands and knees. I have a very large kitchen and combined dining room, but there were times that I got so disgusted by the filth that I spent my day on hands and knees scrubbing the old fashioned way, then also on hands and knees rinsing and drying. Tiresome! And really, who has time (and the back) to do this once a week, much less more often?
Finally, after getting frustrated on all the wasted money, I started doing some research on what was out there that could scrub my floors and not require massive rinsing, or hands and knees scrubbing. Something that would actually do the job. After about a week or so of reading countless reviews on various forums and websites about floor cleaners, I settled on the SpinScrub.
I have to admit I was reluctant. So many other things seemed to offer promise too, only for me to be disappointed. However, with Kohl's cash in hand, I received a significant price reduction on the purchase, bought the cleaner, and took the SpinScrub home for a 'spin' (HA!)
OMG, was I ever impressed. I fell in love immediately! My mother was here visiting when I used it for the first time and she was wowed too. (as a matter of fact, she continues to try and steal mine rather than go buy her own)
We used the Swiffer to get up all of the larger debris from the floor, and pushed them into piles, then swept the piles into a dist pan. Then I followed the directions for this product and started cleaning my floors.
What I love about this product is that it is basically an all in one. It will vacuum for you dry, if that's what you want. But it also sucks up during the scrubbing/washing as well. I love, love, love that it has scrubbers, but I love it even more that it sucks the dirty water right up!! No rinsing! No pushing around dirty water with a mop, simply relocating it rather than cleaning! Yes, the steam mops sanitize, but they do not truly CLEAN. Plus, the pads only go so far.
Like I said, I have a very large kitchen/dining room combination. I have to empty the dirty water once, and refill the cleaner container with cleaner and water once or twice. It's a tad inconvenient, but sooooo worth it to truly clean and scrub and suck up the dirty water in a fraction of the time it takes to sweep and push around the dirt on your floor with a mop.
I have had this SpinScrub for about 18 months now. I didn't write a review immediately because I wanted to see how the product worked longer term, if it kept up to the same awesomeness.
It does!!
My floors are cleaner, and it still continues to amaze me when I use it!
However, one FYI note: I found that the suction doesn't work if the filter is not in. Learned that by using the Floormate one day and wondering WTH was the matter that it wasn't sucking up the dirty water like normal! Then I remember I had put the filter out to air dry,and had forgotten to put it back in before use! When I replaced it, the Floormate sucked up just like it was supposed to!
Dunno why it makes a difference, but it does!
This is such an awesome product and totally worth the money!!
