All right, I must be honest. I picked up this book when I saw dinosaurs. Wait, so it's dinosaurs AND humans? Oh, Jurassic Park... Wait, set thousands of years in the past? But dinosaurs....oh, I see what you did there. Well, let's take a look. The first chapter is hoarded with information about what's up. I felt it a bit like a drag. I lie you not, I was this close to calling it quits. But then there was Kit, an 8-yo boy and then I thought, this kid's into something. He'll grow up and fight the raptors, which are intelligent beings who would conquer the world if they knew how to build boats. But no, he is a kid and as so he kicks dinosaur ass! This little hero will save humanity in an epic adventure! Wait, it's more like many adventures! The reading is epic, adventurous, gory, and exciting. Give it a chance, I promise you it will not be dissapointing. I would have my 11-yo read it, but maybe not the youngest ones.
