Good Quality!
We've gone through a LOT of garlic presses in our household. We use garlic pretty much every day, and nothing beats fresh. Mincing six or seven cloves of garlic, though, is a pain. So on a whim we bought a garlic press at Target for something like $3 and it worked...for about two weeks. Then the plastic handle snapped. What followed was a series of cheap $3-$5 garlic presses, the longest of which lasted two months before it, too, snapped at the handle, incapable of handling the garlic requirements of our kitchen. After that, I reached my limit and searched for a good, highly reviewed, sturdy product because over the course of 10 years we have spent over $300 on a series of cheap garlic presses.
Enter this one. Never have I loved a garlic press so much. The cheap ones felt cheap, the handles were uncomfortable, they just...we got what we paid for, even before they broke. This one fits the shape of my hand comfortably, requires minimum pressure to work, and frankly I can use it to just crack the skin of the garlic to make it peel easily rather than crushing it under my knife or soaking it in water or ten minutes, so it's a time saver in more than one regard. After a month of using it, even my husband conceded he should have let me buy a better one years ago.
Sometimes we clean it by hand, which is easy, and sometimes we pop it in the dishwasher. Either way, it's never given us any trouble cleaning it. It's literally just the best.
