Just delightful, thank you MAGA reviewers!
I'd scrolled past The Flatshare so many times after being generally disappointed in thin plots and appalling characters in modern romance. Then a miffed Trump supporter complained that the author took some digs at her dear leader, so obviously I considered it my patriotic duty to fling $5 toward this author ASAP. WHAT a treat! The book is funny, heartfelt, and no insta-love, or that insta-lust where one character sees the other and is suddenly flooded with teenager hormones and can't think about anything else. No, the characters of Tiffy and Leon have their own lives and the relationship they build through notes feels real and earned. The only thing I was waiting for - what was the deal with Richie's lawyer, Sal? Just incompetent? Or a scumbag? Anyway, MAGA people should just scroll on, as your friends say. You won't like it and you definitely don't deserve Leon, who is sexy and kind but non-American and ambiguously mixed-race, so you'd probably just want to throw him in a cage.
