I am serving in Afghanistan and our base has an abundance of doves. Thankfully, Amazon ships this to an APO address. Every afternoon between 4 and 5pm I sow the seed in several areas that are the birds' preferred feeding spots, and every afternoon they wait for their treat. We can't have camp pets so the birds are the closest thing we can get to having a pet and we all enjoy them. They love this seed, and the flock continues to grow as word gets out through the bird grapevine. It attracts the sparrows but the mynah birds prefer grubs and ants. I will definitely try this mix at home in western PA where we have more varieties of wild birds.
