Had some bad luck with these somehow, but this drive is pure gold. Originally purchased a 1TB WD Drive (previous model) and the write speed was so slow on my 2018 MacBook Pro I ended up sending it back. Decided to upgrade to this newer 4TB version and the first version I received wouldn’t reformat. Replaced with the same item and it works beautifully. Fast, quiet, and works seamlessly on both my Mac and my wife’s PC. Stop wasting time with Seagate (after I’ve had 2 crap-out on me in the past 10 years, I’ll never use that brand again) and switch to WD already!
