Pretty much ignore the 1-star reviews ... from what I could tell they thought you just filled the steamer up with water and pointed it at whatever you wanted to clean and pulled the trigger and "presto" it was miraculously cleaned. Sorry guys ... that is NOT what this steamer is meant to be. It comes with multiple attachments to facilitate cleaning most any surface. I have been cleaning the tile grout (I have LOTS of tile floors) a little bit at a time since this arrived about a month ago. I use the little round wire brush (it comes with three such round brushes, plus other attachments) and do a little bit each day. It does a fantastic job on the dirty, dirty grout but does require a bit of elbow grease (but not as much as when I was using a toothbrush to scrub the grout). When the steam runs out, it certainly does NOT take 45" (as some reviewers have suggested) to cool down before you can refill it!! But ... you do need to use all the water/steam in the unit, then UNPLUG it, and let it cool down. It helps to "discharge" the remaining steam a few times over the course of 5" before opening the steamer to refill it. NOT a big deal!! All in all ... this is an awesome little steamer and my new favorite household cleaning appliance. It is definitely cheaper over time than using harsh cleaning products ... both to your wallet and to the environment. So ... don't let the low ratings some have given this deter you from buying it. Those ratings, I believe, were mostly from people who expected a "magic" cleaner and didn't understand how the product actually works.
