This Kosdeg copper water bottle is simply the best one I have found. I am retired and have the time to research. As a result I have purchased several different bottles, only to return them and have decided on these. One thing I was looking for was I actually wanted the copper to turn color, as this is called “oxidizing”. I’m a bit surprised at people being disappointed in the bottles turning color…..THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO!!!! The only reason they would not turn color is if they are coated with something, mainly lacquer. I don’t mind if the outside is coated but I do not want any coating on the inside. Another issue for me was the sealing ability of the cap…..do they leak? These bottles are said to, by the manufacturer, to not leak…..”And they do NOT leak”. Everybody boasts about how there bottles don’t leak….well that is not necessarily true…..sometimes they leak, and sometimes they don’t….not with Kosdeg…..these bottles seal tight the first try….EVERY TIME. Another issue is are they copper plated…an easy test to rule out certain metals is put a magnet to the bottle. Copper is NOT magnetic. One more issue is the size. Kosdeg states their bottles are one liter and I believe they are, because I can fill two 16 ounce jugs with a bit left over. That tells me they are one liter. To summarize, if you want a bottle that is actually one liter in size, has a wide mouth, DOES NOT leak and is not coated on the inside, you have just found it….KOSDEG. I hope this review helps some of you people out there who get alarmed when their bottles change color…. as I said…They are supposed to.
