Better than just the shoulder strap alone. I’ve witnessed my 10y/o daughter dabbing her nose on it because she was too lazy to grab a tissue from the backseat...so I gave it 5 stars for comfort since it was soft enough to wipe a little girls nose...apparently. I’ll probably move these to the lap belt portion because my wife doesn’t pay enough attention to the fact that this device disallows the seatbelt to retract when she depresses the release button to the safety belt, thus upon her exit from the vehicle dropping the buckle/seatbelt outside the frame of the car door or conveniently in the door jamb where she will then violently slam the passenger side door of my Wrangler and cause such a loud crunch you’d think it was a thunder clap of lightning...or at least that’s what I feel through my body as I attempt to restrain my emotions and filter my words carefully. Anyhow, I need a seatbelt pad that is safe and comfortable enough for when my daughter rides in the front seat, but technologically advanced to slide to a neutral position when my wife cannot take two seconds to consciously respect my vehicle.
