Good Quality!
I did some research on automotive lighting and the best option for bright headlights. I used to buy Sylvania Silverstars because of the ice-blue tint that mimicks the HID look. After about 5 pairs in 4 months, I realized how horrible they are and upon further research that the coating actually reduces the brightness.
Found a lot of reviews on car forums talking about the brand Osram and how they make the real Silverstars. These bulbs are uncoated and are called the 55W Ultra High Efficacy Plus 50. These bulbs are manufactured by Osram (Silverstars), Narva (Rangepower+50), Tungsram (Megalicht), and Philips (VisionPlus).
Out of all of them, Philips is the easiest to get a hold of in the US which lead me to purchase them here.
A standard bulb produces 1550 Lumens and a Plus +50 bulb produces 1750 Lumens. They are the brightest legal bulbs you can purchase and all those "ice blue" "extreme white" bulbs are junk, they are estimated to product about 1350 Lumens and a terrible lifespan.
I switched from a standard stock bulb to these so I was able to notice a good change in brightness, but i'm sure if varies with each car and the bulb they are replacing.
So to sum it up, don't expect HID grade brightness, just expect a very good quality bulb that will give you the best from a halogen bulb.
