I've had these stairs for a month now and am very pleased. Besides the fact that the fabric is pink, these are excellent stairs. They are made from a very sturdy and attractive dark wood and come pre-assembled so all I needed to do was pop the stairs into place. They are much bigger in length than I expected and take up a big portion of my bedroom, but my dog is worth it! They measure: Length (sticks out from bed) 36 inches. Height 18 inches. Depth of each step 12 inches. Width of step 15.5 inches. It can also be set up as a ramp by simply lifting each stair and folding down the wood piece that props it up. It's really easy. I previously used some smaller steps for my 16 pound Dachshund. Even though they were a little short, he would just make a big jump from the top step to get on the bed, however, he NEVER used them to go down. Instead, he would just jump off the bed. Now that he's 7 years old, I really wanted something taller so he wouldn't have to jump from the top stair to get on the bed but more importantly, I wanted something that he could use to go down. After a week of tempting him with treats, he now goes up and down these new stairs all by himself. Also, I have a 65 pound lab mix who can use the stairs. It holds her weight just fine and is wide enough for her body. Don't hesitate to buy these stairs because of the high cost. They are totally worth the money!
