Not a Kitchenaid... that's a good thing
Let me preface this by saying that I have used a kitchenaid mixer since 2002 and have always thought when I would buy another one when the one I was using finally quit working. That finally happened a few months ago. I started looking at mixers and when I saw how much Kitchenaid was charging for their mixers I knew I didn't want to spend that kind of money. Then I started reading things about the Kuccu stand mixer. I read reviews both on Amazon's website, Kuccu's website and through consumer reports - and like any of those sites there was both good and bad. I learned that the mixer housing wasn't made of metal and the attachments didn't actually reach the side of the bowl. At to the first - so what?! There are suction cups on the bottom of the Kuccu mixer so it doesn't need the weight to stay stable. I appreciate that it is not as unweidly as the kitchenaid because it makes it easier to move around the kitchen and get out and put away. As for the second - neither does any other mixer. If the attachments were to go all the way to the side of the bowl, it would damage the bowl and the attachments. On average I make between 3 and 7 loaves of bread every week. So far, the Kuccu has had no problem keeping up. The motor is more powerful than in my kitchenaid and it appears to be able to do as much as my kitchenaid. So far, I am very happy with this mixer and unless it just stops working or quits after a year or so, I have no intention of going back to kitchenaid.
