Great track set for our barndoor. We were expected to pay 3x as much at a box store for the same set! The kit was well packaged with each component secured in boxes with diagrams of the contents of each of them. As others have said here, plan out everything before drilling or cutting, it made the whole process so much easier, as the instructions are mainly photos. With pre-planning, make sure to dry fit the track together prior to locating studs as they only fit together one way. We choose to install directly to studs rather than using a 1x4 to mount the track to. We located the studs above our door opening and used a drill press to drill two additional holes to coincide with the actual stud placement. It drilled through smoothly with our drill press. The idea of having the holes on the track 16" apart is a good one, however, it wasn't realistic due to the stud distance in our new house. We ended up getting 4 bolts through the track into studs for secure placement. We didn't mind that the track bar came in two pieces, it does not affect the smoothness of the track at all! The kit also came with an adjustable floor guide to keep the door from hitting the baseboard or swinging out when opening. All total we spent ~$250 on the entire setup, including the barndoor, hardware, handle, stain and sealer, all bought from Amazon. An extraordinary price and excellent quality. We highly recommend this barndoor hardware set!
