4 stars out of the box, 5 stars after my small modification. Out of the box, the clicking mechanism is squishy and vague. I added a small helper spring and it completely changes the action on the pen, much stiffer with good tactile response at the engagement point. Simply cut a small length of spring off any old clicky pen and add it in as a helper to the existing spring. The existing spring is enclosed within the lower shaft and cannot easily be removed/replaced, as a result you're better off adding a helper spring. It's best to start with more spring than you need and trim it down once you get a feel for the changes to the engagement. Once you've cut your helper spring, slide it onto the ink cartridge and reassemble the pen to test the action. For me, it took ~1/3 the length of a "Bic Clic" pens spring to reach the desired stiffness and tactile response.
