I've been using Mrs. Stewart's bluing for 15-20 years, and love it!!!! Won't do bleach loads any other way. For potential new users: 1) This is a dye. It's blue. Make sure you treat it like it is. 2) Here's how it works - you know how when you mix bleach and soap, it turns your water orange? This counteracts that, or adds a hint of blue to otherwise colorless water, and turns your water into a whitening solution. It's amazing. 3) A little goes a LOOOOOOOOONG way. Only a few drops per bleach load of laundry are required (I use maybe 5-6, and put it in directly with the bleach). This one little 8 oz bottle will last you several years. This is my 5th bottle, and only because 2 of them were stolen by roommates along the way lol. 4) I recommend keeping it in a bag. Sometimes, the bottle drips. Because it's dye, this can be a bad thing. Keeping it in a bag will keep your hands and clothes from inadvertently turning blue. I don't really notice any scent, btw.
