Used them to grow tomatoes and peppers and purchased as an "experiment." My garden quickly becomes overrun by weeds, we've used clay and plastic pots in the past. Handles are a "plus." I placed them atop "weed block" material and really liked them. I do suggest bumping up to the 7 gallon size for tomatoes, but for peppers 5 gallons is plenty. I'll be getting more and hooking up an irrigation system this summer. UPDATE (APRIL 2020): I had one of these tear from the handle while moving plants indoors when it was going to be cold overnight. I contacted VIVOSUN, who was super fast at replying to my messages and assisting me in replacing the item. This is a quality company that cares about their customers, so have no fear, when they say they have a guarantee, they mean it. Even if their products cost a dollar or two more than others, spend it, because they certainly stand behind their guarantee. Thank you, VIVOSUN!
