I have a high efficiency Thermador dishwasher. When I had a Thermador Rep out to the house due to the bad smell he instructed me on the proper way to use the Affresh. 1. Only use the Affresh once a month. 2. Use the Affresh with a completely EMPTY dishwasher. 3. Run the dishwasher through one cycle with the Affresh tablet (no other cleaner or tablet is to be used at the same time). 4. Run the completely EMPTY dishwasher through a second cycle (using no table or other cleaner). After following these instructions monthly I have had a clean smelling dishwasher and no residue or fumes from the Affresh.
