Just a little wobbly but solid and durable otherwise.
As a handyman, I have installed dozens and dozens of this particular mailbox and I find it to be one of the better ones. Once you've put a a few together, you can bang them out in less than ten minutes. But if it's your first one, be sure to follow the directions in order. The hardest part is aligning the different sections to be screwed together. They never seem to line up right. You'll have to do some squeezing to fit it all together properly, but if you're careful, the results should be fine. My only gripe is the top half seems a little wobbly once assembled but there's not much that can be done about that. Being a very popular model, I see many of these around town and it amazes me how many are assembled or installed incorrectly or located too close to the road just begging to be plowed over. Just use your noodles people! It's best to dig a hole with a post hole digger about two feet from the edge of the street. Drop a 4 foot long pressure treated 4 X 4 exposing two feet or a little more. Add cement (50 to 60 lb bag) and water into the hole around the post using a spirit level to make sure it is plumb (level). The assembled mailbox will slip right over the post and the bottom should rest at ground level. As you are securing the mailbox to the wooden post, keep that level handy making sure it remains plumb. A set of 3" peel and stick reflective number decals should be applied but wipe the mailbox with a little alcohol first so they will stick better.
